French govt consults on new funding rules for public initiative FTTP networks

The French government has announced a public consultation on a revised set of rules for those local authorities that still need to apply for public funds to bring FTTP connectivity to rural areas. Part of the country's high-speed broadband programme, these funds are available in underserved areas where public initiative networks have been deemed necessary to complete the planned national roll-out of FTTP services.
