French govt places 5G and fibre at core of Digital Infrastructure contract with telecom reps

France's economy ministry has announced the official signing of a new contract creating a Digital Infrastructure strategic committee, agreed by public entity CNI (Conseil National de l'Industrie) and several associations and representatives of the French telecom sector, including FFTelecoms, InfraNum and Sycabel. Among its main goals, the new initiative aims to support four common projects, including one focused on 5G and another on the promotion of exports, in collaboration with the French Fab programme.
