French govt reallocates EUR 140 mln to support fibre roll-out

The French government announced that EUR 140 million worth of budgeted fibre funds have been reallocated to support the next phase of FTTP roll-out, towards the goal of achieving full coverage by 2025. Senator Patrick Chaize, representing local authorities within the Avicca association, described the move as a victory for the French departments that have yet to find resources for their planned fibre deployments in under-served areas.
