French govt rolls out revamped Covid-19 tracing app

A new version of France's Covid-19 tracking app is now available, as its predecessor failed to attract much-needed public interest. Originally introduced in June, the StopCovid app was downloaded 2.6 million times, prompting action from the government to address the failed launch. Named 'TousAntiCovid' (All against Covid), this latest version was unveiled by President Emmanuel Macron last week and was described as an enhancement, particularly in terms of greater information on the evolution of the pandemic, the location of testing centres, and personalised advice.
