French Green party calls for moratorium on 5G roll-outs

Wednesday 22 July 2020 | 13:32 CET | News
French political party EELV (Europe Ecologie Les Verts), which campaigns on green issues, is appealing to the government for a national moratorium on 5G deployments. The party said that the country should have a transparent debate on the installation of 5G antennas, based on comprehensive and unbiased information. In particular, it is urging the government to wait for the conclusions of two reports to be published next year, one from French health and safety agency ANSES and the other from the NegaOctet consortium, which will focus on the environmental impact of digital services.
