French ISP Vitis to bring fibre offering to rural networks run by SFR

Thursday 14 March 2019 | 16:57 CET | News

ISP Vitis will soon commercialise its triple-play offering across the public initiative fibre networks run by SFR, which are currently under deployment with a target of 2 million premises over the coming years. The agreement will come into effect during the summer in the Isere department, with further availability to follow in the second half of the year.

Majority owned by Netgem, Vitis specialises in reselling broadband access in French rural areas. It uses the Videofutur brand name to market a triple-play bundle combining up to 1 Gbps fibre access, telephony and TV/VoD for EUR 39.90 per month.

The Videofutur bundle is currently available to a footprint of over 1 million rural premises across 30 French departments, set to nearly double to around 2 million premises by the end of the year. The agreement with SFR follows similar deals signed to access the public initiative networks being deployed by infrastructure operators Altitude, Axione, Covage and TDF.
