French mobile operators resist 'soviet style' network security regulations

French telecom operators have come out against proposed regulation of the security of mobile network infrastructure, saying it is too open-ended and will give the government "Soviet style" control of their network roll-out decisions. The legislation was discussed in a meeting this week between the operators and state officials writing the executive decree, Les Echos reports.
