French telecom revenues, employment stable in 2012 - Arcep

Thursday 21 March 2013 | 14:42 CET | News
France's four biggest telecom operators, Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Iliad, saw their combined revenues rise by 0.1 percent to EUR 41.1 billion in 2012, excluding the effect of a reduction in call termination rates, according to telecom regulator Arcep. The operators' combined investment increased by 3.4 percent to EUR 6.23 billion in 2012, excluding the acquisition cost of LTE licences. Arcep also states that it expects telecom operators' levels of direct employment to be stable at 129,000 in 2012 compared to 2011, after having risen from 127,000 in 2010 and 124,000 in 2009.
