FTC extends antitrust probe to Amazon Web Services - report

The US Federal Trade Commission has broadened its antitrust probe in Amazon to include the company's cloud operations, Bloomberg reported, citing sources familiar with the amtter. The FTC has been asking software companies about the Amazon Web Services (AWS) unit and its practices. One issue brought up was if Amazon is discriminating against software companies who sell products to clients of AWS while at the same time competing with Amazon, and favouring those that work exclusively with the online platform.
