FTC finds Cambridge Analytica deceived consumers

The Federal Trade Commission has found data analytics and consulting company Cambridge Analytica engaged in deceptive practices to harvest personal information from tens of millions of Facebook users for voter profiling and targeting. The now-bankrupt company was also found to have violated the EU-US Privacy Shield framework, covering the transfer of personal data between the EU and US.
