FTC looks at competition complaints on Apple Music - report

The US Federal Trade Commission is looking at whether Apple's treatment of rival streaming music apps is illegal under antitrust law, three industry sources told Reuters. Apple recently launched its own music streaming service, Apple Music. Competing streaming services such as Jango, Spotify, Rhapsody and others are also available on Apple's App Store, and Apple takes a 30 percent cut of all in-app purchases for digital goods sold on its platform. Some streaming companies complain that Apple's cut forces them to either charge more in the App Store than they do on other platforms or erode
