FTTH Council Europe wants more political attention for fibre

The FTTH Council Europe plans to step up its efforts to build political support for fibre roll-out in Europe. The industry group adopted its agenda for 2014-2016, focused on bringing the European Commission and national regulators and policymakers "back on the FTTH track". This includes addressing the need for fibre network financing, underlining end-users' interest and need for fibre and building alliances to spread the message. The group's general assembly also approved observer status for several new operators to participate in some of its activities. In addition it elected six members to
