G20 ministers make little progress on digital taxation

Leaders of the G20 countries said they aim to have an agreement on taxation in the digital economy by 2020. However, the final statement from a meeting of G20 finance ministers in Argentina did not provide any details on on how they expect to deal with the international implications of taxing online service providers. The G20 should come with an update on its plans in 2019, the statement said.
