Gemalto to integrate Secure Element in Samsung Galaxy S8

Thursday 4 May 2017 | 18:17 CET | News
Gemalto said its Secure Element will soon be integrated into the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S8 in selected markets. The cooperation deal will give Samsung a channel to deploy its secure services anywhere in the world. It will also enable Samsung to establish relationships with different service providers, such as transport operators, around the world. The element has been embedded in other Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy A series globally and the Galaxy C series in China. The system supports Samsung Pay, including transit and ticketing.
