German 5G auction passes EUR 4 bln in bids
The German Federal Network Agency said that EUR 4.1 billion was offered by the four bidders in the 152nd round of the 5G spectrum auction.  

Vodafone accounted for EUR 1.2 billion in total bids for 11 lots, Deutsche Telekom and 1&1 made EUR 1.1 billion in top bids each for 12 and 11 lots respectively, and Telefonica Germany bid the least, at EUR 624 million in total for the 3.6 GHz and 2 GHz bands. 

A total of EUR 2 billion in bids were lodged for the 2 GHz frequency range. 1&1 bid the highest amount of up to EUR 184 million for one block, followed by Vodafone with a bid of up to EUR 182.5 million. Telefonica bid EUR 179.4 million for one block and Telekom offered up to EUR 177.5 million.

In the 3.6 GHz frequency range, bids totaled EUR 2.1 billion. Telefonica offered the highest amount of up to EUR 109.4 million for one block, followed by Vodafone with up to EUR 101.3 million for one block. 1&1 bid up to EUR 100 million, and Deutsche Telekom bid the lowest amount of up to EUR 68 million for one block.
