German cable operators criticize results of regulator's broadband measurement tool

Tuesday 15 May 2018 | 16:49 CET | News
The Federal Network Agency's second annual report measuring broadband speeds found that internet providers frequently failed to deliver on the maximum broadband speeds promised. Only one-quarter of users (23.3 percent) with an internet connection between 200 Mbps and 500 Mbps reached the maximum marketed speed, while only 4.6 percent of households reached the maximum speed if their connection was between 8 Mbps and 18 Mbps, according to the regulator.
