German cartel office expresses support for fourth mobile network

Germany's Federal Cartel Office has spoken out in favour of creating a fourth mobile network operator in Germany, with an eye to next year's auctions for 5G spectrum. The regulator called the emergence of a fourth player "desirable" for competition on the mobile market in a position paper on 5G.
