German consumer body to take legal action against Facebook

The Federation of German consumer organisations VZBV has agreed to take legal action against Facebook, as the social network has refused to give a cease-and-desist declaration regarding law infringements in its terms of use and data policies since changing them on 30 January, horizont.net reports. Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection, Heiko Maas, welcomed the fact that data policies are being reviewed by the court, as the VZBV raises valid points of criticism.
