German consumer org calls for ban on Vodafone's zero-rated GigaPass

Wednesday 31 January 2018 | 13:23 CET | News
Vodafone's GigaPass is not compatible with the rules of net neutrality and will prove detrimental for consumers and firms in the long run, said the VZBV. Companies that want to participate in the GigaPass have to accept technical and legal terms from Vodafone that put smaller companies and non-commercial enterprises at a disadvantage and will impede technical innovations, while the GigaPass offer is not transparent and contains some pitfalls for consumers.
