German court rejects lawsuit on right to be forgotten against Google

The civil court of appeal of the German Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof), which is responsible for data protection, has rejected the claim of a plaintiff on the so-called right to be forgotten. The plaintiff was the managing director of a regional charity association. In 2011, the association had a financial loss of almost EUR 1 million, and shortly before the plaintiff had health problems.
