German court rules Amazon Dash Button violates consumer law

Tuesday 6 March 2018 | 16:54 CET | News
A court in Munich has ruled that Amazon's instant-order Dash Button enabling consumers to reorder household products with one click violates the German Civil Code, announced the Consumer Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), the plaintiff in the case. Amazon's Dash Button violates statutory obligations to provide information to consumers as the e-commerce giant fails to disclose information on the price and type of products purchased when customers place orders with the Dash Button, ruled the Lower Court of Munich.
