German court to seek EU advice on Vzbv privacy claim against Facebook

The German Federal Court has asked the Court of Justice of the European Union to clarify the applicable law in a lawsuit filed by consumer organization Vzbv against Facebook for privacy violations, Reuters reports. The court wants to clarify whether organizations that can bring litigation under national law can press their case under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
