German dispute rumbles on over 3rd party feeds on smart TVs

Trade associations Anga, Bitkom, Eco and ZVEI are objecting to a proposal made in April by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to change the Interstate Broadcasting Agreement (RStV), reported Heise Online. The portal said they reject platform regulation that would prevent feeds into smart televisions from social networks or alerts to e-mails or from smart home systems, without content providers' consent.
