German economy minister calls state of 4G networks 'embarrassing'

Germany's 4G networks are one of the "biggest embarrassments" for economy minister Peter Altmaier on the state of technology in the country, he said at an event organised by Manager Magazin. Discussing plans for 5G, he said "99 percent" of mobile users are convinced that 4G doesn't work in Germany, as is the minister.
