German federal minister wants creation of Digital Ministry

German Federal minister for Transport and Digital infrastructure, Alexander Dobrindt, argues for the creation of new ministry for digitalization, according to German press agency Dpa citing German newspaper Bild am Sonntag. Dorbrindt wants the Digital Ministry to be responsible for the roll-out of Gigabit infrastructure, IoT development, Industry 4.0 developments, autonomous driving, digital education, creating a good environment for start-ups as well as personal data protection.
