German govt may scrap public broadcast licence fee - report

The German Ministry of Finance committee is suggesting an overhaul of the way public television and radio broadcasting are paid for, Klein-Report said, citing German media reports. The last reform was in 2013, introducing a licence fee for every home and business, regardless of whether they watched or listened to ARD and ZDF output. The committee is said to be recommending a subscription service, according to Klein-Report.
