German govt reaches agreement on security requirements for 5G network building

The German government has reached an agreement on the security requirements for the construction of the 5G network, a spokesman for the Federal Ministry of the Interior said, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports. The government debated the exclusion of Chinese suppliers from firms that will build the network. The compromise balanced technical security requirements with a right of political veto.
