German govt speeds up Telecommunication Act approval - report

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs (BMWi) has handed over the draft on the Telecommunication Act to associations for feedback, Der Spiegel reports. The telecommunications associations have to respond quickly with their opinions on the draft. The aim is to submit a completed draft to the cabinet for the meeting on 16 December in order to avoid criticism from Brussels, because the EU directives that forms the basis of the new telecommunication law must be implemented in national law by 21 December.
