German govt starts cyber security agency

The German Federal Ministry of Interior has announced the start of the agency for innovation and cyber security. Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer and Interior Minister Horst Seehofer believe this is an important step towards greater technological sovereignty in cyber security. The agency will initially have a total budget of EUR 350 million until 2023.
