German industry group VATM supports splitting up Federal Network Agency

Germany industry group VATM said it is in favour of splitting up the Federal Network Agency, Bundesnetzagentur, into different divisions. The energy sector should be assigned under the new Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, while telecommunications networks, radio and digital matters should be merged under a new digital agency, it said, commenting on the distribution of tasks among federal authorities as a result of a new government taking office.
