German IT security body relaxed at Blackberry Secusmart deal

Germany's Federal Office for Information Technology Security (BSI) said Blackberry's acquisition of encryption specialist Secusmart is not expected to affect Secusmart's contract with the federal government, according to Handelsblatt's online edition. When asked, the BSI said there were unlikely to be any concrete consequences, but it would be looking very closely at the long-term effects of the deal on the security properties of the products in question.
