German mobile operators to bring Mobile Connect to Germany this year

Thursday 8 February 2018 | 12:57 CET | News
Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone Germany and Telefónica Germany have reached an agreement to bring Mobile Connect, the GSMA's service enabling consumers to log-in securely to internet portals on their smartphone without a user name or password, to the German mobile market later this year. The service aims to increase user control over their data and reduce the risk of password and identity theft by allowing consumers to use their mobile phone number and mobile device as proof of their digital identity.
