Pay-TV services in Germany set new records for both viewership and revenues in 2017, according to an analysis of the German pay-TV market from the German commercial broadcasters' association Vaunet. Pay-TV programmes had an average reach of 16.2 million viewers per month in the year, up from 13.1 million per month in 2016, while the first half of 2018 has seen pay-TV's average reach increase to 16.6 viewers per month. Pay-TV reach hit a peak in December with 18.5 million viewers that month, said Vaunet.
