German postpaid market booms in Q3 as prepaid weakens

The German mobile operators gained over 1.2 million new client contracts in Q3 2016, but prepaid sales softened across much of the sector, according to new data from SmartWeb. The SmartWeb Mobile Communications Report Q3 shows the growth is attributable to a swell in the postpaid client sector, which expanded by 1.23 million contracts. By contrast, prepaid clients decreased in the same period by 9,000 contracts.
