German regulator agrees to new regional roaming requirements

Friday 9 November 2018 | 09:41 CET | News
The German government and Federal Networks Agency have agreed to include a regional roaming requirement in the proposed 5G licences, DPA news agency reports. In an effort to improve coverage in rural areas, the regulator could impose a regulated price for access to an operator's infrastructure in a specific area, such as a road, train line or region, so customers of other providers can also benefit from the coverage.
