German regulator confirms net neutrality probe at Telekom

Germany's Federal Networks Agency has confirmed an investigation is underway into Deutsche Telekom's zero-rated data offering StreamOn. A spokesman for the Bundesnetzagentuur told Teltarif.de that it had requested input both from the operator and other market participants by the end of next week. After evaluating the feedback, the regulator will decide whether any changes are needed to the StreamOn offer in order to bring it in line with EU net neutrality rules. Telekom introduced in early April the offer of free music and video streaming with its Magenta plans, and Germany's economy
