German smart home market grows 10% in first 10 months

The German market for digitally connected household products has grown significantly since January 2016, a new study has found. Data from the GFK Trade Panel shows revenues in the smart home sector came to EUR 3.1 billion in the first ten months of the year, an increase of 10 percent on the year prior. Connected entertainment products sold the highest volume, with around 4.1 million devices sold in the period. However, growth was limited compared with the year prior, with an increase of just 1 percent.
