German trade fair IFA explores alternatives as Berlin cancels large events

IFA, the annual trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances that takes place in Berlin, is exploring new ways to hold the event this year following the restrictions put in place to halt the spread of Covid-19. The local government in Berlin has announced that large events with more than 5,000 participants are banned until 24 October. IFA is held every year at the beginning of September.
