German union protests against layoffs at IBM

The German trade union Ver.di has protested against layoffs announced at IBM. The union sent a letter to the management of IBM in Germany to object to 50 layoffs announced in September at locations in Hamburg and Kelsterbach. The letter was sent to the head of IBM in Germany Gregor Pillen, Norbert Janzen, labour relations director at IBM in Germany, and Sebastian Krause, the chairman of the supervisory board of IBM in Germany.
