Germany's Pepcom activates high-speed network in Pritzwalk

Wednesday 6 December 2017 | 11:05 CET | News

Tele Columbus subsidiary Pepcom said it has activated its fibre-optic network for the Pritzwalk Housing Association in the state of Brandenburg after seven months of construction work. Pepcom connected a total of 1,445 housing units as well as 22 business units to internet at speeds of up to 400 Mbps.

Pepcom said households will also receive SD and HD television channels under its Cablesurf brands via the new network and have the option to purchase additional HD and pay-TV packages. Pepcom said the network in Pritzwalk has also been set up so that fibre-optic cables can be brought directly to the apartment when the demand for broadband makes this reasonable.
