Get says 16% of web traffic uses IPv6, in top 20 worldwide

Thursday 10 July 2014 | 13:50 CET | News
Get said it is among the top 20 countries in the world in terms of the amount of traffic using IPv6, according to Akamai's report for the first quarter of 2014. The Norwegian cable company has 16 percent of its internet traffic using IPv6, putting it in the same class as major global firms like Comcast and AT&T. This compares with 2.5 percent for Norway as a whole. Get activated Ipv6 for its hybrid fibre customers in November 2013, and more than a third of those customers now surf using Ipv6. Get customers do not need to activate Ipv6 themselves.
