Global baseband processor market declines in Q2 but 5G baseband market makes a strong start

The baseband processor market fell in the second quarter by 4 percent year-on-year to 5 billion, according to the latest study from Strategy Analytics. The market was led by Qualcomm, with a revenue share of 43 percent, followed by HiSilicon with 15 percent and MediaTek with 14 percent. Samsung LSI and Intel rounded out the top five.
