Global fixed broadband connections pass 1 billion milestone in Q3

The number of fixed broadband subscribers in the world increased by 2.6 percent sequentially in the third quarter to pass the milestone of 1 billion, according to the latest study from Point Topic. The number of subscribers posted its highest growth in the past six quarters to reach a total of 1.008 billion at the end of September thanks above all to East Asia, which provided nearly 70 percent of all net additions.
