Global fixed broadband growth slows in Q4 2016

Growth in global fixed broadband subscriptions slowed in the fourth quarter of 2016 as saturated developed markets offset expansion in Africa, Asia and notably in Vietnam and Turkey, according to Point Topic. There were 855.9 million subscribers to fixed broadband worldwide at end-December, with quarterly growth slowing to 1.46 percent from 2.4 percent over the previous three months.
