Global fixed broadband market grows over 2% in Q1 - study

The number of fixed broadband subscribers worldwide rose by 2.06 percent to 1.047 billion in the first three months of 2019, marginally faster than in the previous quarter and led by East Asia, which accounted for 65 percent of net additions. China continued to lead growth in fibre, with a 23 percent increase in connections in the 12 months to end-March, according to data gathered by Point Topic.
