Global PC shipments jump nearly 15% to over 81 million in Q3 - IDC

Tuesday 13 October 2020 | 11:30 CET | News
Global PC shipments jumped in the third quarter by 14.6 percent year-on-year to 81.3 million units, boosted by lockdowns and the need to work and study from home, according to the latest study from IDC. The researcher noted that notebook shipments would have gone even higher if the market had not been hampered by component shortages. That backlog will likely carry into 2021. The study takes into account desktops, notebooks and workstations.
