Global service provider router sales down 3% in Q3

Global service provider router revenues were USD 3.3 billion in the third quarter, down 3 percent year on year, according to the latest data from Synergy Research Group. However, on a rolling annual basis the market grew by 1 percent. Core routers accounted for 21 percent of Q3 revenues, while edge routers accounted for 62 percent and Ethernet access-aggregation devices 17 percent.
