Global smartphone shipments rise 6% to 353 mln in Q1 - study

Global smartphone shipments grew 6 percent annually to reach 353 million units in the first quarter, according to the latest study from Strategy Analytics. Samsung recaptured first position from Apple, with a 23 percent market share, while Apple dipped to 14 percent. OPPO meanwhile surged 78 percent from the year before.
