Global Telecom announces reorganisation, cost optimisation

Global Telecom has announced a reorganisation and cost optimisation initiative with total expected cost savings estimated to be about USD 9 million per annum. This initiative includes moving its head offices to a new location in Cairo. In addition, a number of functions have been decentralised and relocated to subsidiary mobile telecommunications operating companies in Algeria, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Zimbabwe. This is to create a more streamlined organisation with a lower cost structure. Some administrative and support roles are outsourced to external providers based in Cairo to achieve
