Global wearable shipments to hit 237 mln in 2020 - IDC

The worldwide shipments of wearable devices is expected to reach 110 million units by the end of 2016, up 38.2 percent from the year before, and 237.1 million in 2020, according to a study from IDC. The double-digit growth throughout 2015-2020 will be driven by an expanding lineup of vendors combined with fast-growing consumer awareness and demand. The market will also be pushed by the proliferation of new and different wearable products.
